Joey Fatone has told fans not to expect an N Sync reunion anytime soon, while Nick Carter should have covered his ears.
Don’t expect N Sync to reunite anytime soon, if former member Joey Fatone’s comments are anything to go by. The singer has dispelled any talk of the boy band getting back together this week, whilst also taking a sly dig at the recently reformed Backstreet Boys.
Joey Fatone is not counting on an N Sync reunion
Last year Fatone and the rest of the N Sync boys staged a mini reunion at the MTV Video Music Awards where former bandmate Justin Timberlake was honoured. But it seems that this was one time deal for the ‘Bye Bye Bye’ hit makers, who don't have any further plans together.
Speaking to the Huffington Post, Fatone described the experience as fun and interesting but he also stated he didn't know if it would ever happen again. The singer said, "I don't know whether or not something will ever happen again, but again you always say never say never because that happened. That was never gonna happen and all of a sudden it did happen.” That's a lot of happening. However he also added, "At this moment in time is anything gonna happen? Absolutely, 100 percent no...at this moment.”
One night only? N Sync reunited in 2013
It seems Fatone isn’t about to see N Sync jump on the boy band reunion bandwagon anytime soon and he’s a bit suspicious of those who have. Fatone also said "All these other groups and bands said that we will never tour again and you see New Kids On The Block tour and stuff like that.” He then went on to reference the recent Backstreet Boys reunion saying "I feel like they just need the money," before quickly adding, "No offense guys!”
But Backstreet Boy Nick Carter might have taken slight offence at Fatone’s comments. The newlywed took to twitter to respond to Fatone saying, "Just disappointed, I really liked joey…” He then went on to say, "I'm proud of who we are and love what we stand for".
Nick Cater and his new wife Lauren Kitt
Nick then went back to enjoying his honeymoon with new wife Lauren Kitt, whom he married last weekend in Santa Monica.
