Just days after she announced her shock split from her husband James Placido after only eight months of marriage, Jodie Marsh has made another surprising announcement – she’s planning on having a baby via sperm donation.

The 37 year old former supermodel and sometime TV personality has seemingly decided to try by herself to have a first child, despite being marrying Placido only in August last year. She took to social media on Thursday evening (April 21st) to assure her fans that she wasn’t discouraged from her dreams of motherhood.

Writing on Twitter about her decision and how she’s planning for the immediate future, she wrote: “The future is this: I’m making 2 more shows @tlc_uk then I’m going to revisit having a baby via sperm donation #itsallaboutME.”

Responding to a fan who told her she’d make an excellent mother, Marsh said that she’d had the idea before she got married. “Aw thank you. I was looking into sperm donation before I met James. Back to the drawing board. Haha xx.”

Opening up about the split with Placido over the last couple of weeks, Jodie had written just before in a show of strength to her critics: “Of course this has been tough. It's actually been one of the worst weeks of my life! But I'll be darned if I'm going to sit here crying over a man and I'm NOT going to fall apart.”

You have been so supportive and kind. Of course this has been tough. It's actually been one of the worst weeks of my life!
