Atz Lee Kilcher was caught tracking down a black bear in a helicopter for his Discovery Channel show, Alaska: The Last Frontier last year (Sep14).

According to documents obtained by TMZ.com, Kilcher and his father only used their helicopter to get to the area where they were hunting, but officials still consider that a violation.

The production company behind the reality TV show has also been charged.

It's unclear if any bears were killed.
