The British designer, who has dressed everyone from Beyoncé to The Duchess of Cambridge, was the queen of the social networking site thanks to a picture of the dreamy Esme gown from her 2013 bridal collection show, which was the most shared clothing image of last year, according to the Daily Telegraph newspaper.

This perhaps comes as little surprise since photo-sharing site Pinterest, which allows users to re-pin images on their virtual pin-boards, is a firm favourite amongst brides-to-be seeking inspiration for their upcoming nuptials.

Meanwhile, singer-turned-designer Victoria Beckham was the most re-pinned celebrity of 2013, with women around the world taking inspiration from her chic ensembles and effortless cool.

An image of the Spice Girls star visiting a west London fish and chip shop in a navy blue jumper and jeans with one of her own £1,300 handbags dangling from her arm featured on thousands of online moodboards.

In terms of coveted celebrity clothing and accessories, 'Hart of Dixie' actress Rachel Bilson's leopard print sandals from June 2013 were the most re-pinned item.

The sold-out $80 Bridget shoes were from her own line for online retailer ShoeMint.
