Jury selection has been completed for the murder trial of the man accused of killing Jennifer Hudson's mother, brother and nephew in 2008.
Twelve people have been chosen to sit on the panel which will determine whether William Balfour, the estranged husband of Hudson's sister Julia, was responsible for the brutal slayings, which took place in the singer/actress' native Chicago, Illinois.
Court officials were forced to question potential jurors about their knowledge of the Oscar winner in a bid to rule out any bias in the case, and they had to dismiss a number of people who admitted they were fans of the Dreamgirls star and sympathised with her tragic loss.
Six alternate jurors have also been selected.
The trial is scheduled to begin on 23 April (12) and Hudson is expected to attend.
