Singer Jennifer Hudson is still fuming record executives slimmed down her figure on the cover of her first album - because it didn't send a "good message" to her fans.
The American Idol star, who has shed a whopping 80 pounds (36 kilograms) in recent years, released her self-titled debut record back in 2008 when she was sporting a much fuller physique.
Hudson was mortified to see the final product when it finally hit stores, because music bosses had digitally altered the cover art in a bid to make the singer look more visually appealing - without her permission.
During an interview on U.S. news show Dateline, which is set to air in America on Sunday (08Jan12), she reveals, "It was like, 'Where is the rest of me?' They photoshopped me, probably to the size I am now, on that cover but we all know I was nowhere near that. Why would you photoshop that? And to me it did not send out a good message.
"It did not represent me. Did I not just prove that talent is enough - if I made it this far being who I am, being the size I am, the image that I am?"
