Beyoncé and her younger sister Solange Knowles, 27, threw their mother a private masquerade ball at Muriel's Jackson Square in New Orleans, Louisiana.

The 32-year-old 'XO' hitmaker and rapper husband Jay Z snuck in the side door of the upscale eatery, while a marching band led Solange and Tina into the event after they arrived in elaborate horse-drawn carriages, according to gossip website TMZ.com.

Former Destiny's Child star Kelly showed off her new short hair-do in a photograph with Tina at the party on Instagram and wrote: ''HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR TINA (MaMaT) HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU! #NOLA Oh yeah, I cut my hair!! (sic)''

'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star Kris, 58, also shared a picture from the event with the caption: ''Happy Birthday Tina!!! Beautiful night Beyoncé. #magical''

Jennifer posted another photograph with Tina with the caption: ''Happy birthday mama Tina! Such Beautiful woman!!! N a blessing to us all!! (sic)''

'The Boy Is Mine' hitmaker Monica also attended the black-tie party in the city's famous French Quarter, which cost more than $100,000.

A black and gold invitation for the bash warned guests they had to wear a mask to enter the exclusive party.

It also suggested: ''Be creative and add to the mystery of you'd like.''

Tina, who split from the girls' father Matthew Knowles in 2009 and divorced him in December 2011 after 31 years of marriage, has been dating 'V' actor Richard Lawson, 66, since last year.
