Jennie Garth has split from her boyfriend of three months.

The 41-year-old actress - most famous for her role as Kelly Taylor in nineties teen drama 'Beverly Hills 90210' - reportedly called it quits with media executive Michael Shimbo following a trip to Texas to watch the Formula One US Grand Prix over the weekend.

Michael - CEO of a media company based in San Francisco - reportedly flew home early after a spat with the star.

It's alleged distance was a factor in their break-up, with a source telling Us Weekly magazine: ''Michael doesn't live in Los Angeles, so it was difficult to maintain a long-distance relationship.''

The couple made their romance public in August when they attended a Comedy Central Roast of actor James Franco. They were later spotted on a romantic getaway at the Greenbrier resort in West Virgina, celebrating Michael's birthday in September.

Jennie finalised her divorced from 'Twilight' actor Peter Facinelli in June following their separation in March 2012 after 12 years of marriage.

Together they have three daughters Luca, 16, Lola, 11, and seven-year-old Fiona.

Prior to dating Michael, the blonde beauty had been linked to drummer Jeremy Salken.
