Colleagues Jenna Wolfe and Stephanie Gosk have been together for years
NBC's Jenna Wolfe and Stephanie Gosk are expecting a baby girl. Talking to the Today show on Wednesday, Wolfe – who anchors the weekend version of the show – broke the news.
"I'm actually pregnant. I'm quite pregnant actually. My girlfriend, Stephanie Gosk, and I, who works here at NBC, we're expecting a baby girl at the end of August," she said. Gosk - a foreign correspondent for the network – was interviewed alongside Wolfe by People Magazine this week. “I don't want to bring my daughter into a world where I’m not comfortable telling everyone who I am and who her mother is," explained Wolfe, with Gosk adding: "The beauty is that we live in a time where there’s no need for secrecy. This is a spectacular moment for us.” And, like most modern mums are doing these days, Wolfe has been blogging about her pregnancy. "She made the first four months brutal for me … B-R-U-T-A-L," she wrote. "There were days when all I could eat were Saltine crackers, Apple Jacks dry cereal and plain pasta. Let's just say I have a newfound respect for any woman anywhere who tells me they've experienced morning sickness."
The pair, who have been together for three years but kept their relationship low key, are planning to get married, but are focussing on their to-be-born bundle of joy for the moment.
