'Transparent' star Jeffrey Tambor is thrilled to have been able to help Bruce Jenner come out about his sexuality, after Bruce stole a line from the show in which he plays a transgender father.
Jeffrey Tambor thinks it is ''remarkable'' that his 'Transparent' character has helped Bruce Jenner.
The 70-year-old actor portrays a transgender parent in the TV show and feels ''blessed'' that the former Olympian referenced dialogue from the programme during his recent interview with Diane Sawyer, in which he admitted he was planning gender reassignment.
In an interview with US Magazine, Jeffrey said: ''I think that's remarkable. I feel very blessed and very moved to hear that. I'm glad we could be part of that. Bruce Jenner really hit it out of the park in terms of authenticity and beauty and love.
''I thought just the way that whole thing is breaking is gorgeous. I loved the last line, 'This is my last interview as a man.' That just killed me, and I think killed everybody who was watching it.
''Bruce Jenner has every right to come out any way... if it wants to be a documentary, if it wants to be a cover... I love the fact that we're not all saying, 'This is the way you come out.'''
The 'Arrested Development' star also thinks the support the Kardashian and Jenner children have shown their father is fantastic.
He said: ''Always support authenticity. It may not be the shape that you want it, it may not look like you want it to look... I've heard of a nine year old recently, who talked to his parents about not being a 'boy-boy' and then I'm playing a 70 year old, so the spectrum is huge. These are people, not one thing that looks one way.''
