Bob Geldof has confirmed he married actress Jeanne Marine in the south of France.
Bob Geldof has confirmed he has got married again.
The Boomtown Rats singer was reported to have wed Jeanne Marine - his partner of 19 years - in France last month and he says he had a ''good day'' celebrating his nuptials with friends and family, including his daughters Pixie and Fifi, and Fifi's fiance Andrew Robertson.
He confirmed to The Sun newspaper: ''I'm really happy. It was a good day. It was great fun.''
The 63-year-old musician - who proposed to Jeanne shortly after his daughter Peaches died from a heroin overdose last year - was seen with his gold wedding band on Tuesday (05.05.15) evening, his first public appearance after his big day.
Bob - who was previously married to late presenter Paula Yates - has admitted in the past he never expected to find love again after splitting from his first wife.
He said: ''Why did she like me? It is a late realisation for the ageing Geldof that all humans are loveable. I love her. I thought I would never get this again.
''It was an improbable encounter between a woman who doesn't speak English and a boy who doesn't speak French, between a stunning, beautiful woman and a ruined, ruined man.
