Imogen Poots was caught by surprise when Zac Efron kissed her while filming 'That Awkward Moment'.

The 24-year-old actress stars alongside the 'High School Musical' hunk in the romantic comedy and although they were encouraged to improvise scenes while keeping the screenplay in mind she didn't expect to lock lips with Efron while filming near Gramercy Park, New York City.

She told Collider.com: ''There was something Zac did that was very funny when we were filming around Gramercy Park. We were walking and they were about to have a conversation, and he said, 'Guess what I stole!' And I was like, 'What?' And he's like, 'Kisses!' He kissed me and then ran off and I was like, 'That's really funny! And, god, I've got nothing!' I don't think it's in the movie, is it? That was a funny moment. I probably turned to the camera and was like, 'Ah! I don't know what to say!' ''

Poots also worked closely with Miles Teller and Michael B. Jordan on the forthcoming flick and enjoying watching the film back with them.

She added: ''I think they all offer something different. But what I loved the most was when I saw the film back for the first time, it was so funny to me obviously knowing them and then seeing these performances they were doing and maybe playing against type or playing into type.''
