Howard Stern has bid an emotional farewell to 'America's Got Talent'.
The 61-year-old comedian sat on the judging panel for the last time during last night's (16.09.15) final and took a moment to say goodbye to the show with a touching video.
He said: ''I've had such incredible moments on this show. I really have ... It has been phenomenal.''
Stern revealed it was the struggles he faced in the early years of his own career that made him decide to join the talent show back in 2012.
He explained: ''I thought it would be really cool to be a judge, because I think I have something to offer. If I had any dream about this, it's that I could take someone who was struggling and seriously give advice. I was told over and over again that I had no talent. I was in college radio. No one was banking on me.''
The 'Howard Stern Show' host - who was born and raised in New York - also spoke of his pride at bringing the show to his hometown.
He shared: ''New York is just kinda who I am. I felt really fortunate that I could be the guy responsible for bringing the show to New York.''
And Howard is thrilled the show has brought him a whole new set of fans.
He added: ''I'll go to a restaurant and parents will bring over their 10 year olds to sit on my lap to take a picture. I'm like, 'Oh my God'. It's kind of funny to me because this never happened to me in my career.''
Stern announced he was leaving 'America's Got Talent' in June as he'd been offered an exciting new opportunity in TV.
