Hinder lead singer Austin Winkler has left the band due to personal reasons.

Winkler joined the group in 2001 after guitarist Joe Garvey and drummer Cody Hanson saw him singing cover songs at a college party in Oklahoma.

The rocker has released four albums with Hinder since then, but earlier this year (13), he took a leave of absence to enter into rehab for the second time while the band toured.

Despite his departure, the remaining members assure fans they will stay together.

A press release from Hanson reads, "We hold no animosity towards Austin, and wish him the best. Although it was a difficult decision, it was the best thing for everyone involved and time for us to move on. This summer/fall tour was a tough one. We want to thank the fans for all their overwhelming support."

No details about who will replace Winkler have been announced.
