The hip-hop star's car disappeared in New York City after a parking garage attendant accidentally gave the keys to another man, and the 57 year old has now revealed the Dodge Charger contained three crates of irreplaceable records.

Grandmaster Flash, who had parked up while visiting a record store in Manhattan, is now considering suing the garage over the incident.

He tells BBC Radio 4's Today programme, "Records that I collected 40 years ago, some of my old breakbeats. How do you replace that? I've had to hire an attorney, who says we are going to have to go after the garage... I came back (from the store) and I proceeded to have the same guy who gave me the same ticket two hours ago and his eyes went as big as saucers and he says to me, 'I've given your car to the wrong person. He looked like you!'"
