Review of Good Shoes single Under Control

Morden's up and coming favourite sons are ready to return, after releasing their brilliant debut album 'Think Before You Speak' and a limited live album. The boys have been back in the studio and are ready to get back to the grind stone of releasing new material and start touring again.

The one thing which you have to love about Good Shoes is their quirky catchy tunes that they manage to compile, with the likes of 'All In My Head' 'Morden' and 'Small Town Girl' The question however after setting the standards so high has this quartet managed to reproduce the same quirky tunes followed by Rhys Jones un structured (some would say kind of stuttering) vocals that has provided a unique sound which this band hold? In short yes!

'Under Control' is the first glimpse of Good Shoes new material and they still kick out a cracking tune and you can see the band sound as if they never left and have just carried on from where they left off. If there was ever a time to bring out the "Indie-Pop" banner this is the time. Good Shoes seem to know how to churn these out, however it will be interesting to see how far these guys have come once the new album has been released.
