Theatre Mogul Andrew Lloyd Webber Is Plotting A Revival Of His Sunset Boulevard Musical With The Show's Former Star Glenn Close.
The Cats creator is hoping to bring the production back to the stage in London's West End, 22 years after it first opened in the British capital's famed theatre district, and he wants Close to reprise the role of Norma Desmond, a washed up silent film star.
Close won a Tony Award for her role in the Broadway production in 1994, and Webber insists the actress is keen to return to the show.
He tells The Stage, "Glenn wants to do it and I said to her that if she really wants to, we should get on with it."
Sunset Boulevard, based on the 1950 film of the same name, was last seen on stage in London in a 2008 revival.
