The actor declared himself bankrupt in January (15) for the second time, and his former partner Nicole Cannizzaro filed legal documents in March (15) to ensure she continued to receive settlement money stemming from a 2011 felony battery case ruling.

In the legal documents, Cannizzaro claimed she is owed two payments of $10,000 (£6,667) as well as $2,500 (£1,667) every month until 2018, and she asked the judge overseeing the matter not to erase the bills along with Dourdan's other debts during the bankruptcy process.

Earlier this month (Jul15), Dourdan responded to Cannizzaro's lawsuit claiming she didn't file her legal papers within 60 days of his bankruptcy filing and shouldn't be entitled to the settlement payments totalling $110,000 (£73,333).

He is now asking the judge to erase the debt and dismiss the lawsuit, according to TheJasmineBrand.com.

Dourdan was arrested for allegedly breaking Canizzaro's nose during an altercation at his home in California. He agreed to a plea deal, which included probation and counselling, in 2012.
