Cooor! Terry Date has been a busy boy of late, whilst I have blessed him for his past production work (which includes A’s new album) this sounds classic er ‘him’. Funeral For A Friend have had the stick poked at them, with the ‘new lostprophets’ here, the ‘new savours of rock’ there and the ‘new to break america’ everywhere. This new material has quite some expectations pinned on it. But as it goes it’s a real bobby. But apart form the rather strange phone dialling and some random answering the phone at the beginning of the song. It puts the s**t up you when you’re reviewing the single in the
middle of the night and someone says ‘hello’, umm interesting. Anyway it’s based around a riff which could make you blind, with a shouting vocal which is almost as melodic as melodic can be. If you like the new breed of popular pop metal this will most defiantly pop your clogs. If not then nevermind. Blatantly this is going to be a great year for these guys. 7/10
