The former Saved by the Bell star was accused of pulling a knife on Casey Smet at a bar in Wisconsin in December (14).

He denied three charges, claiming he was defending his partner Amanda Schutz, and at the conclusion of his trial on Friday, he was acquitted of one felony count of reckless endangerment, but he was convicted of misdemeanour charges of disorderly conduct and carrying a concealed weapon.

Schutz, 27, was also found guilty of disorderly conduct.

Diamond is now facing a potential prison sentence as the weapon charge carries a maximum term of nine months behind bars, while he could also land a 90-day stint for the disorderly conduct conviction.

The actor and his partner are both due to be sentenced on 25 June (15).
