Three Of Seattle, Washington's Grunge Godfathers Have Formed A One-off Supergroup With Former GUNS N' ROSES Star Duff Mckagan As Part Of An Upcoming Iggy Pop & The Stooges Tribute.
Bassist MCKagan will hit the stage with Pearl Jam's Mike MCCready, Mudhoney's Mark Arm and Barrett Martin from Screaming Trees and Mad Season on the roof of Seattle's Pike Place Market on 23 August (15) for a free concert celebrating the city's independent, non-profit radio station KEXP.
Radio bosses chose to salute Iggy and his band at the show as the group's landmark Raw Power album was a pivotal release as the network was starting up in the early 1970s.
MCKagan, MCCready, Arm and Martin are all huge Iggy Pop & The Stooges fans.
