Dirty Vegas - One - Album Review

All the content of the songs has depth to them. The lyrics are positive, uplifting and soulful and the singer has a conviction and character similar to David Gray. The music works really well as well. There’s a rolling upbeat drum sound that combined with the bass makes for that dance influence. There’s keyboards and guitar there too.

It creates a full band sound that compliments the vocals well and would appeal to people who want the sound of a live band. The atmospherics and spiritual essence of the music would also appeal to fans of Zero 7 for example. Each song has it’s own character the album sends you on a journey that makes one feel refreshed and serene. There’s slower tracks, more upbeat tracks and mid tempo tracks that hit all the moods and implicitly have their own individuality.

Dirty Vegas have created a top class album that is great to listen to. It has a lot of commercial appeal and seems to have a lot of influences to reach out to many a listener. You could play this album driving and feel yourself float away for an hour happily or you could put it on before going out. Well done lads, you’ve created a great album.
