Series bosses urged the star to get in shape after he developed a paunch - and that meant working out with Will Smith's trainer and eating tasteless meals while his wife and family were celebrating the holidays in Oregon.

Luke says, "I had a little belly and they said, 'For Christmas, how would you like to work out?' So my wife went to Oregon with the family and I stayed in L.A. and worked out.

"It was just chicken, broccoli, no seasoning for about three and a half weeks until we came back (to shooting). I think I dropped 15 pounds."
