The former Danity Kane star reveals she turned her back on the meat and seafood-heavy foods of her native New Orleans, Louisiana after learning all about the way animals are treated in the food industry.

Richard decided to go one step further and completely cut all animal products from her diet - and she is thrilled with the impact it has had on her health and figure, which she puts on full display in the tasteful new Body by Vegan PETA poster.

She explains, "I was devastated to find out that the food I was eating was so processed and so bad, and the animals were so mistreated and I was not happy and it made me immediately... go cold turkey."

Richard's new health kick has also inspired her father to follow her lead and ditch meat, too.

She continues, "(My) whole life has changed. I get up earlier, I want to exercise, I feel better, my skin feels better - and these are things I didn't even know (about vegan eating), coming from the south, coming from New Orleans."

Richard isn't the only celebrity to strip naked for PETA - actresses Olivia Munn and Taraji P. Henson, model Marissa Miller, and reality TV star Khloe Kardashian have all peeled off their clothes for the organisation's animal rights campaigns in recent years.
