Former DR WHO star PETER DAVISON is desperate to return to the cult sci-fi show and work alongside new Time Lord David Tennant.
Davison, who last played the coveted role in 1982, would even consider a brief guest appearance in the legendary series, which he is convinced will be improved by Tennant's casting as the new Doctor.
He says, "I would love to do a cameo visit as my old self. I'm disappointed that Eccleston is only doing one series but Tennant is a genuine Doctor Who fan and a great actor. He'll bring a real sincerity to the role."
Tennant was offered the part when actor Christopher Eccleston dropped out after completing just one series.
