The Canadian filmmaker - who is married to singer Sir Elton John - is launching the high-end drinking establishment at the Caesars Palace Hotel and Casino in the gambling mecca.
According to the New York Post newspaper, construction work on the bar is already underway and it is scheduled to open this fall.
David is working on the project with New York nightlife mogul Michael Greco, who has previously worked with Pure Management on projects at The Palms resort.
As well as offering the best champagne and cocktails, revelers at the venue will be able to enjoy viewing a number of art works on display which will be taken from David and Elton's own extensive private collection.
