Hootie & The Blowfish frontman-turned-country star Darius Rucker.

Sheryl Crow let the news of the seasonal treat for fans out of the gift bag last week (ends12Sep14) by posting a photo of herself with Rucker online and captioning it "Merry Christmas Baby! (I sang on his upcoming Christmas record)", and now the Wagon Wheel singer has confirmed the news.

Home for the Holidays, which will be released in October (14), will feature classics such as Baby It's Cold Outside, which he has recorded with Crow, Winter Wonderland and O Come All Ye Faithful as well as original tunes Candy Cane Christmas and What God Wants For Christmas.

He says, "I am so excited to finally make a Christmas album. This has been a lifelong dream, and I hope my fans enjoy listening as much as I enjoyed making it."

Rucker will join the likes of Leann Rimes and Idina Menzel among those releasing holiday albums this year (14).
