Fact: Get Lucky hitmakers Daft Punk have been tapped to perform at the upcoming Grammy Awards on 26 January (14). It will mark the French duo's first televised appearance since the same prizegiving in 2008. Presenting the prize to his masked pals, who wear robot helmets in public, he said, "I met these guys in the late '90s. It was amazing. Because they really are robots."

Fact: French dance music superstars Daft Punk headed to the Monaco Grand Prix on Sunday (26May13) to witness the debut of their own Formula One racing car. The duo's logo featured on Lotus F1 Team vehicles, but it did not appear to give the Lotus drivers a boost - Kimi Raikkonen finished in 10th, while his teammate Romain Grosjean retired from the race.

The two acts have both donated customised artwork for the sale, while Norah Jones, superproducer Mark Ronson and film director Spike Jonze have also contributed. The auction goes online on 15 March (10) at BiddingForGood.com and proceeds go to the Artists for Peace and Justice campaign.
