Cilla Black's Grave Has Been Targeted By Thieves Who Stole A Bronze Plaque And Vandalised Her Resting Place, According To A Report.
The British singer-turned-TV star died in August (15) following a fall at her Spanish villa, and she was laid to rest at Allerton Cemetery in her native Liverpool, England.
Editors at British newspaper The Sun report thieves have stolen a bronze plaque from her grave, and trampled floral tributes and mementos left by family and friends.
The plaque, inscribed with her full name Priscilla Maria Veronica Willis, was a temporary installment at the gravesite until the permanent headstone is laid. The stolen plaque has been replaced with a plastic sign by cemetery workers, and police and local government officials have been alerted to the theft.
A source tells the newspaper, "Cilla was adored by millions. Everyone saw the huge public upset over her death. This will deeply upset her family and will be a shock to all her friends and fans."
