Fact: The sixth instalment in the Mission: Impossible franchise has been given a release date of 27 July 2018. Tom Cruise is set to return as Ethan Hunt and it will be written and directed by Christopher McQuarrie, who helmed the previous Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation. Actors Rebecca Ferguson and Jeremy Renner are also rumoured to return.
