Cat Deeley’s secret to making her blow dry last “for days” is to sleep on a silk pillowcase.
Cat Deeley’s blow dry lasts “for days” now she has switched to silk pillowcases.
The ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ presenter has revealed one of the tricks to her glossy mane is to rest her head on one of the hypoallergenic pillow covers from The Big Silk.
She said of the products: “Your blow dry will last for days.”
‘Love Island’ star Megan Barton-Hanson is also a fan of the company’s hair products, including soft silk scrunchies in various sizes and a beauty band to hold back her locks when she’s applying her make-up, because she’s trying to better protect her tresses.
She said: “I’m trying to look after my hair, so I’m using these silk products.”
But Rosie Fortescue warned beauty-lovers won’t want to go back to their old hair accessories if they try The Big Silk’s products.
She said: “Once you try silk, it’s so hard to go back.”
The company - which counts the likes of Ashley Roberts and Vanessa Hudgens as fans – only launched six months ago out of founder Abigail Benton’s desire to get through her beauty routine quicker while avoiding shortcuts that would be less gentle on her hair and skin.
She explained: “The Big Silk was born from my lifelong need to speed up my morning beaty routine, and to be kinder to my hair and skin in the process.
“Like most women, I’ve always found the low-maintenance, high-quality glow up that my schedule demands to be a struggle.
“The Big Silk was born; cue beautifully silk scrunchies with the perfect hold and silk pillowcases that are specially designed to protect your blow-dry, hair and eyelash extensions and your skincare regime.
“To every modern woman out there – the go-getter, the trend-setter, the beauty queen, the wonder-mum and everything else in between – I truly hope you enjoy these little luxuries.”
With the silk pillowcase (£49), face mask (£16.90), beauty band (£29) and scrunchies (£15) already a big hit, the company are planning to add to the range with silk heatless curlers, pleated scrunchies, eye masks, robes, and face masks for kids.
