| Another tangent is taken with probable single "Something Wicked" Dark Bowie meets Julian Cope (who is apparently a fan). As the album unfolds you realize British Sea Power succeed where too many other guitar bands fail. While chopping and changing style as well as temperament and recording technique British Sea Power's unique character shines through. Like the afore mentioned Pixies front man the basis of lyrical content on "The Decline of British Sea Power" is fixated and frantic. Through this open hearted approach you are drawn into British Sea Power's world and taken on a journey. Through whirlwind mountainous rock to soft tranquil heart songs British Sea Power are ruling my waves. |
