Singer/actress Bette Midler Will Be Honoured For Her Efforts To Promote Environmental Sustainability At Her Annual Halloween Party Later This Month (Oct15).
The Beaches star will celebrate the 20th anniversary of her New York Restoration Project at her annual Hawaii-themed 'Hulaween' masquerade party, where she will be feted with the Green Goddess Award for her environmental work.
Midler, who launched the organisation in 1995 to create more environmental-friendly spaces in New York City, says, "I am so proud of our part in changing the face of the city, in cleaning parks, highways, and vacant lots, in saving and supporting community gardens and in pointing out that the citizens of the greatest city in the world deserve a healthy, clean, sustainable environment."
Hell Night on Hulaween Island: A Night to Dismember will take place on 30 October (15) at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York. It will be hosted by comedian Judy Gold and will include a performance from Nile Rodgers and Chic.
