Veteran Actor Antonio Banderas Is Set To Be Honoured At The Upcoming Premios Platino Of Iberoamerican Cinema Awards Ceremony In His Native Spain.
The Desperado star is set to receive the lifetime achievement accolade in recognition of his contribution to film over the past three decades.
Wild Tales, which earned Argentine director Damian Szifron an Oscar mention last year (14), leads the awards race with 10 nominations, including Best Director, Best Actor and Actress (Leonardo Sbaraglia and Erica Rivas), and Best Iberoamerican Feature Film.
Conducta, La Isla Minima, Mr. Kaplan and Pelo Malo are also up for the top film prize.
Cuban drama Conducta and Spanish crime thriller La Isla Minima each have nine nominations.
