Actress Anjelica Huston received Jack Nicholson's stamp of approval before writing about their 17-year love affair in her memoir Watch Me.
The Witches star has opened up about Nicholson's infidelities in the book, recalling how he broke the news that he was expecting a baby with with actress Rebecca Broussard to her over dinner in 1989.
She also confesses she reacted to Nicholson's affairs with violence, and once "beat him savagely about the head and shoulders" during a altercation about his womanising ways.
The actress reveals she agreed to publish all about her torrid Nicholson romance after making sure her ex was Ok with the expose.
She tells U.S. breakfast show Today, "I sort of handled (the relationship) on a day-to-day basis and sometimes I didn't handle it so well at the time.
"Writing about it was actually quite cathartic and I showed him the book before it went to publication, so I got his stamp of approval, not that I needed it, but it was nice to have."
