Free rocker Andy Fraser has given his song 'This Is The Big One' to be the official anthem of World Environment Day on June 5.
Andy Fraser has written a song for World Environment Day.
The reclusive Free rocker is backing the annual campaign to end global warming and has given over his song 'This Is The Big One' to further raise awareness of the Earth's problems.
He said: ''Our world is crying out for help and it's time for me to speak up. My track, 'All Right Now' is one of the most listened to songs of all time, with over 6 Million BPI verified airplays.
''If the same amount of people listened to our message about the rising sea levels, then I will have done something positive to help. That's why I've written and donated a song especially for World Environment Day and I hope that everyone listens to the message within 'The Big One'.''
Last year's World Environment Day - which takes place on June 5 and has the tag line ''raise your voice, not the sea levels'' - became one of the most tweeted about topics and Andy is hoping awareness will spread even further on social media this year.
He added: ''Flooding and rising sea levels are physically impacting on us all as global warming accelerates at a frightening pace. The planet is on loan to all of us and we all have our part to play in keeping it safe and healthy for future generations. Please, everyone, show your support by joining in the World Environment Day Tweetathon between 4-5 June. Join the campaign and do something really positive to show you care.''
