Aloe Blacc is set to become a father again.

The 36-year-old singer - whose real name is Egbert Nathaniel Dawkins III - has revealed he and his rapper wife Maya Jupiter, whom he married in 2010, are expecting their second child and it's thought to be a baby boy.

Speaking to UsWeekly, he said with a huge grin: ''Baby number two is on the way! According to the doctor, it's a boy, so hopefully they are right. We had a girl at first.''

The happy couple welcomed their first child, daughter Mandela, into the world two years ago and are thrilled that they're adding another little one to their budding brood.

The 'Wake Me Up' hitmaker believes Maya, 36, is ''thriving'' through her second pregnancy but has revealed she's been craving tangy pickles, unlike her first pregnancy when she would shovel spoonfuls of Nutella into her mouth.

He explained: ''She's really thriving through this pregnancy. This is awesome ... [She's been craving] pickles. It wasn't crazy like last time. Nutella was one of her favourites.''

And Aloe is hoping his unborn baby will develop his love for music as he's been performing for the tot on a regular basis.

Asked whether he's been playing music for his little one, he said: ''All the time. There's so much music in the house all the time, there's no way to escape it.''
