Chart-topping 1990s girl band All Saints are set to record new music in a bid to rule the charts again following their recent reunion to support Backstreet Boys on tour.
All Saints are planning a big chart comeback.
The 1990s girl group - who had hit songs such as 'Never Ever' and 'Pure Shores' - recently reunited to support Backstreet Boys on the UK leg of their 'A World Like This' tour, but they are now set to release new music in a bid to rule the charts again.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: ''The girls have loved being back together again and this time around, being that much older and wiser, aren't taking any nonsense.
''They've had a few meetings with songwriters and management, and the feeling is there is still a gap in the market for a group like them.
''The plan is to get back in the studio in the summer and produce a handful of new tracks so long as they are all happy with the results, a single will be released at the end of 2014.''
Billed as an edgier rival to the Spice Girls, All Saints - consisting of sisters Nicole and Natalie Appleton, Melanie Blatt and Shaznay Lewis - topped the UK singles charts on five occasions but split up in 2001.
The band initially made a comeback in 2006, but despite the success of their lead single 'Rock Steady' - which reached number three in the UK singles chart - their album 'Studio 1' was less successful, charting outside of the Top 40.
Sheffield's very own all girl group Pretty Fierce are still on a high after the recent release of their debut single - 'Ready For Me'.
Three nights before the end of his current tour Will Varley returned to his home town of Deal to delight a sold out crowd in The Astor Theatre.
