Catskills Projects release Aldo Vanucci’s ‘When I See You Smile’. They have definitely found a niche these Catskills bunch, providing music that uses hip hop breaks and nice sampled beats. It’s got that real groovy New York feel, like David Holmes but a bit less experimental even though the remixes, which are excellent, give a more British urban touch. The vocals are delivered well. They seem quite lazy but it compliments the character of song and the lyrics are honest. This track might appeal to laid back stoners, Big Chill lovers or those with an appreciation of progressive urban street music.
