Sia Wanted To Give Titanium Hit Away

  • 08 February 2012

Superstar Dj David Guetta had to persuade Sia not to give away their hit Titanium as the Australian singer initially refused to be "the face of the record".
Guetta teamed up with singer/songwriter Sia to write the song and later asked both Mary J. Blige and Katy Perry if they would feature on the track, but both singers turned down the offer.
But the French producer insists he's relieved he stuck with Sia
He says, "When Sia wrote Titanium on my beat and laid the vocal, it was intended to be for another singer. But the emotion and quality couldn't be beaten.
"To be number one with her is a special moment. She doesn't want to be the face of the record but her voice is more than enough. This song has been voted by arms in the air wherever I play worldwide. It's a genuine club anthem and top of the charts. Wow."
