The Billboard 200 chart considers the popularity of albums, as the website reports, including traditional album sales, downloads and streaming. To date, the Pitch Perfect 2 soundtrack has sold 92,000 albums and 134,000 songs. It has been streamed 3.3 million times. With a total of 108,000 sales units, Pitch Perfect 2 has more than 50,000 sales units than the album in second position. Mumford & Sons' Wilder Moments lost its No. 1 position to the soundtrack and currently has 58,000 units (down 77%). David Guetta's Listen has done remarkably well and has moved into the fourth spot from its position at No. 30 last week.

Interestingly, there are more soundtracks in the Billboard 200 this week than there has been in any other since 2010 - the height of Glee mania. Also in the top five of the charts are the soundtracks for Fifty Shades of Grey and Furious 7. The soundtrack for Furious 7 has previously occupied the No.1 spot.

Pitch Perfect 2 was released in cinemas last Friday. The film follows the comedic antics of the Barden Bellas, a college a cappella group. Anna Kendrick, Skylar Astin, Rebel Wilson, Anna Camp, Brittany Snow star, alongside a host of others, in the Elizabeth Banks directed movie.
