Zendaya Coleman hopes the new season of 'Fashion Police' will be much more ''positive'' and says she has no ill feelings towards Giuliana Rancic after she made ''outrageously offensive'' comments about the star.
Zendaya Coleman is hoping the new series of 'Fashion Police' will be more ''positive''.
The Disney star found herself at the centre of a race row after one of the show's hosts Giuliana Rancic made some ''outrageously offensive'' comments about Zendaya's hair.
Speaking about the new season, she told HollywoodLife.com: ''If they are able to enlighten themselves and make it a better 'Fashion Police', then that's positive and good. That's what we want.''
The controversy surrounding the E! show hasn't just stopped at the comments made by Giuliana - who Zendaya says she holds no bitter feelings towards - as Kelly Osbourne and Kathy Griffin both chose to depart the show recently.
Meanwhile, the 18-year-old actress previously admitted she had to keep herself from saying what she really thought when the comments were made by the 40-year-old television personality.
She said: ''Honestly at that point, it wasn't really about me. I had to stop myself from being ignorant and being a kid. As a teenager you want to say the first thing that comes out of your mouth and I had to really take my time and think about what my parents taught me, which is - the important things in the world are your voice and your knowledge.
''There is already harsh criticism of African American hair in society without the help of ignorant people who choose to judge others based on the curl of their hair. Me wearing my hair in locks on an Oscar red carpet was to showcase them in a positive light, to remind people of colour that our hair is good enough.''
