Zayn Malik has reportedly been texting his ex fiancee Perrie Edwards to tell her he loves her.

The former One Direction singer - who left the band in March - dumped Perrie by text in July but it has now been claimed that he has been sending the Little Mix star messages to say that he misses her.

An insider told the Daily Star Sunday: ''Zayn has started messaging Perrie again saying he misses and still loves her.

''Although Perrie is trying to be strong and move on, it's obvious to everyone around her she's still in love with Zayn. Seeing him with other women is killing her.''

Zayn has been linked to Burberry model Neelam Gill and popstar Rita Ora since the split.

Meanwhile, Perrie recently insisted she is loving the single life and is enjoying being chatted up by men in nightclubs.

She said: ''I'm having an absolute blast. We have a bit of banter with guys in nightclubs ... I love it.''

And reality TV star Joey Essex, 25, hinted he shared a passionate smooch with Perrie, 22.

Asked if he's kissed the blonde stunner, Joey said: ''Obviously, we done what we done. She's a really nice girl.''

The pair hit it off after they met and exchanged contact details at the Pride of Britain Awards in London last month.
