Zayn Malik is ''lost and lonely'' without Perrie Edwards.

The former One Direction singer dumped his fiancee via text message last month but friends believe he could be regretting the decision and is devastated that she will not answer his calls.

A source told HollywoodLife.com: ''Zayn has been kind of all over the place with his emotions. He's been up to his bad habits like partying too much and that makes him feel bad about himself.

''Perrie always had a way of making him feel good about himself and now that he doesn't have her to lean on, he's kind of lost and lonely.

''He's been trying to talk to her, but she's gone radio silent on him. The chances of them reconciling are pretty slim considering he totally broke her heart.''

Perrie, 22, recently broke down in tears onstage while performing with Little Mix and when Zayn, also 22, heard, it made him feel guilty.

The insider added: ''Now he sees how hard she's taking everything and he feels terrible. He's been calling and texting her just to see how she's doing and talk but Perrie isn't answering.''
