This latest collaboration is a little out of the blue, but it turns out Will Smith is planning on working with Kanye West in the near future. The movie star/rapper/everyman is believed to be interested in reigniting his music career once his latest round of movies hits the cinema, and he can't think of anyone better to hook up with than the biggest name in rap right now.

The 'Getting Jiggy With It' singer was speaking to HipHollywood.com today when he revealed his plans to not only return to cinemas in 2013, but to potentially return to the art form that first made him famous: music. The After Earth actor didn't give his word on the project, but hinted that there is a strong possibility that in the near future a Will Smith/Kanye West collaboration will be coming out. Check out the video below.

“I’ve been messing around with Kanye, we went in the studio a couple times”, Smith reveals in the filmed interview, going on to say, “So I might get the bug. I’m not going to do it unless I’m truly inspired. But, he’s been pushing me a little bit.”

Smith stikes us as the type of person unlikely to be hit with any kind of creative block of any sorts, so maybe that bug will sink it's pincers in and we'll be partying like its the 90's all over again. In the meantime, Will has the release of After Earth, in which he stars with his son Jayden, and Winter's Tale coming out this year. He is also slated to appear in three recently announced sequels, I, Robot 2, Hancock 2 and Bad Boys 3.
