Will Ferrell's comic creation will get it's own book - 'Let Me Off at the Top! My Classy Life and Other Musings'
Ron Burgundy is a man who changed the way we think about many things; news, gender relations, the relationship between a man and his dog and perhaps most importantly, jazz flute. Therefore it is only fitting that a man of such esteem should be given the opportunity to write down his life story and share it with the rest of the world, and on Tuesday (13 August) it was announced by publishers, Random House’s Crown Publishing Group, that this mighty life story will indeed be coming to a bookstore near you.

Let Me Off at the Top! My Classy Life and Other Musings will detail the story of Will Ferrell and Adam McKay's comic creation, from his humble beginnings to his time as San Diego's finest news broadcaster as head anchor for the Action 4 News Team. In a news release, published by the New York Times, Crown Publishing Group went into detail about what we can expect from the book, saying it would “offer a rare glimpse behind the camera into the real life of a man many consider to be our greatest living news anchor.”

The statement went on to say that Burgundy has no draw unopened as he will recount “personal anecdotes about the women in his life, about his dog, Baxter, and his legendary news team,” as well as some of the more solemn parts of his life - not that many of them exist because he is Ron Burgundy. The new release continued, “along the way, he’ll also give sage advice on a variety of topics that matter most to him.”
The legendary newscaster has also given a frank, yet engaging talk on his book too, saying, “I don’t know if it’s the greatest autobiography ever written. I’m too close to the work.”
Let Me Off at the Top! will be released across the US on November 19, with Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues scheduled for a December 20 release.
