The intimate details of one of television's greatest ever news anchors will be laid bare in 'Let Me Off at the Top! My Classy Life and Other Musings'
Ron Burgundy will be keeping bookstores across the globe classy and relevant once again when his life is laid bare in an all-new auto-biography by the great man himself. The award-winning lead anchor on San Diego’s Action 4 News Team has bowed down to public pressure and will finally share the intimate details of his life with the general public later this year. The legendary newscaster, who is played by Will Ferrell in the movie Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy and will be reprised in the upcoming Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, has turned scribe and struck a deal with publishers Crown Archetype imprint of Random House’s Crown Publishing Group to release his memoirs later this year. Random House released a statement on Tuesday announcing the news-worthy deal, saying the book will “offer a rare glimpse behind the camera into the real life of a man many consider to be our greatest living news anchor.”
The press release went on to sat that Ferrell and Adam McKay's creation will “share personal anecdotes about the women in his life, about his dog, Baxter, and his legendary news team,” adding, “along the way, he’ll also give sage advice on a variety of topics that matter most to him.”

Burgundy himself has spoken about the impeding release, modestly saying, “I don’t know if it’s the greatest autobiography ever written, I’m too close to the work.”
Let Me Off at the Top! My Classy Life and Other Musings will hit bookstores and online retailers across the United States on November 19. The book will also be available in digital formats, although if you go digital you won't be able to add to your collection of numerous leather-bound books. Meanwhile, Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues is due to open in cinemas on December 20.
