David and Victoria Beckham are ''strict'' parents.

The couple have four children - Brooklyn, 16, Romeo, 13, Cruz, 10, and four-year-old Harper - and have ground rules for them all, though they don't always share the same stance on certain issues.

Brooklyn said: ''They're both strict, but about different things.

''Mum is constantly telling us not to play football in the house.''

However, one thing the pair are not too strict about is curfews as the model insists his parents are ''really cool'' when he goes out at weekends.

Asked what time he gets home, he said: ''My parents are really cool, as I never get in that late anyway.''

David previously revealed he chaperones Brooklyn's dates, and his son admitted the comments weren't a joke.

He told Miss Vogue: ''He wasn't joking, but not now.''

And even though he doesn't go on his son's dates, David and his wife are always the first people Brooklyn introduces his girlfriends to.

Brooklyn has inherited both his famous parents' talents - though isn't likely to follow in either of their footsteps.

He said: ''I love music and singing. Sport [has always come easy], but I've always had to work hard as well...

''I'm hoping to study art and photography in the US once I've finished my A levels. I love football, but would also love a career in photography.''
