Victoria Beckham's ex-boyfriend MARK WOOD has blasted the former SPICE GIRL, accusing her of lying in her autobiography LEARNING TO FLY.

Wood dated the NOT SUCH AN INNOCENT GIRL singer for five years, but they split up shortly after she joined The Spice Girls.

In her autobiography, she wrote that he gave her a cheap engagement ring and that he joined them on a family holiday to Switzerland for her 18th birthday.

But in a programme for British television channel FIVE, titled VICTORIA BECKHAM'S SECRETS, Wood says, "I've never been to Switzerland in my life - let alone with her."

"The ring might be cheap compared to the one she's got now, but at the time it cost me over $3,600 (GBP2,000)."

Wood also slams the singer for being insensitive for calling him just before her marriage to ENGLAND football captain DAVID.

He recalls, "The girl I was seeing at the time had just left me and Victoria rang me up and said, 'You're quite sad, really. You're on your own, you haven't really got a life. Look at me. I've got Mercedes, BMWs and a big house. You've got nothing.'"
