Tom Hardy is to be a father for the second time.

The 'Legend' actor - who already has a seven-year-old son, Louis, with ex-girlfriend Rachael Speed - was joined on the red carpet for the UK premiere of his new movie in London this evening (03.09.15) by wife Charlotte Riley, whose growing baby bump could be seen in a fitted black dress.

Tom - who married the 33-year-old actress in July 2014 - recently said he takes ''great pride'' in being a father.

He told Britain's HELLO! magazine: ''Being a father has given me the kind of purpose that makes you think more carefully about how you live your life.

''I made a lot of mistakes and I put my mum and dad through a lot because they were so worried about me.

''I take great pride in being a father and make sure I'm there for him and helping him as he makes his way in the world.''

And the 37-year-old star believes becoming a parent when he did made him a lot less selfish and reassess his priorities.

He said: ''It's the best thing I could have wished for. I was very self-indulgent for a long time and I was only thinking about my own stupid stuff and myself.

''Having a child lifts you out of that selfish behaviour.

''When you're faced with that kind of responsibility, it forces you to be a better man and live a healthy life. I have a boy I have to look after and that's more important than any small, petty concerns I might be worried about. Family is the biggest thing there is.''
